Traveling with 2 poodles confirms it: Being a good pet parent is a daily journey

We wanted to try DTR (Dilworth Tasting Room), a restaurant touted for its creative small plates and innovative craft cocktails, but were concerned about showing up with no reservation and accompanied by our canine companions.

We needn’t have worried. When we found the restaurant, we saw dog bowls on the narrow front porch. The hostess welcomed us enthusiastically, and directed us to a large back patio with tropical plants and a buffer from all the street noise.
